Between 07-11 November 2016, representatives of AMSHeR’s member organisations from across Africa meet in Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the Annual Steering Committee Meeting and a regional Roundtable with law enforcement agencies on ending violence and human rights violations based on sexual orientation and gender identity in Africa.

On the evening of the 11th November 2016 the Steering Committee ,Board and Staff of the African Men for Sexual Health and Rights [AMSHeR]  celebrated at cocktail event the courage and resilience of these our heroes who work tirelessly in challenging context and often at great peril to fulfil AMSHeR’s mission of ‘promoting non-discrimination, particularly based on sexual orientation and gender identity and advancing access to quality health services for MSM/LGBT persons in Africa’.

The evening provided an opportunity for activists from Burundi, Cameroun, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe to interact with each other, our partners and the representatives of their governments in at the New Premises of AMSHeR 225 Jan Smuts Ave, Parktown North.
