African Men for Sexual Health and Rights [AMSHeR] is a Pan-African coalition of MSM and LGBT-led organisations across Africa working to promote non-discrimination, particularly based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and to advance access to quality health services for MSM and LGBT persons in Africa. With projects across 20 English-speaking, French-speaking and Portuguese-speaking African countries, AMSHeR works primarily with national and regional and global policymakers to address barriers to health and rights access for MSM and LGBT communities.

Communications and Media Advocacy Manager to support the effective implementation of its strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and implementing AMSHeR’s communications and media advocacy strategy, putting in place effective mechanisms to disseminate and promote AMSHeR’s strategy and regional priorities, supporting member organisations, enhancing AMSHeR’s impact and influence through creative and innovative communications and ensuring the effective use of a range of platforms to interact with AMSHeR’s stakeholders. Knowledge Management, Research and Learning Manager to coordinate and manage the development and implementation of AMSHeR’s knowledge management, research and monitoring & evaluation strategies, systems and processes; oversee, support Finance and Programmes Administrator to support the finance team with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks and provide financial logistics support to programme staff, and front office administration support. and enable reporting on AMSHeR’s knowledge management, research and monitoring and evaluation support functions and practices; ensure quality assurance across AMSHeR publications and knowledge outputs, and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of AMSHeR projects and the communication and integration of learning across programmes. Member Capacity Strengthening Manager to support the effective implementation of its Strategic Objective 3: Strengthened capacity of AMSHeR (Secretariat and membership) for sustainability in governance, advocacy and service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support to AMSHeR member organisations, specifically focusing on members in French-speaking African countries, through capacity strengthening and organisational development training and mentoring.
